At this business/cocktail fete’, more than 50 of Baltimore’s best restaurants, caterers and chocolatiers will serve up delectable treats and compete for awards by celebrity judges.
Baltimore International College’s School of Culinary Arts students will delight onlookers with dazzling culinary demonstrations, while Cold Stone Creamery and The Fudgery will put their trademark talents to the test in the “Clash of the Confectioners” singing and dancing competition.
Adding to the fun, Rick Dempsey, former Baltimore Orioles catcher and World Series MVP, will serve as honorary chair and mingle with guests. What’s more, Bill Gross, Tony Ware and Spencer Horsman will amaze everyone with their strolling magic.
Silent and live auctions, and The Chocolate Affair Golden Ticket Prize Contest will offer the perfect place to find Valentine’s gifts for your sweetheart.
Live music will include sweet steel drum sounds of Tropical Heat at the main stage, a masterful dance mix by DJ Guy Flynn and Kempton Ingersol in the Cocoa Club, and smooth jazz by pianist Marcus D. Smith & Friends in the Mocha Lounge.
For added indulgence, stop by DK Salon’s Beauty & Relaxation Station with face painting, hair styling and massages and Sole Healing for hand and foot reflexology treatments.
Long-time Chocolate Affair committee members, Sharon Bunch (Creative Fundraising) and Caryn Sagal (Lawrence Howard & Associates) will serve as event co-chairs. CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is the presenting sponsor.
All proceeds from The 19th Annual Chocolate Affair will support the work and mission of Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) and generate essential resources to build a future without homelessness.
